Happiness

The U. S. has fallen out of the top ten happiest countries in the world. I find that amazing, but not shocking.  I consistently witness people complaining about something. Some (if not most) complaints are justified.  Personally, I complain more about my health than I ever had.  But my complaints are usually offset my moments of awareness of the amazing blessings that I have.

The article that I read stated that people aged between 30-35 put the U.S. around #60 in the world.  Health, finances, awareness of worldly issues, and interactions on social media have driven the numbers down.  If we only include people over 60, the U. S. is ranked number 10.  Yes, us old people have plenty of complaints, btu we interact less on social media and have learned to count all the good things that surround us.  Hey, my knees are sore, but I still have a supporting wife, 3 kids that still talk to me, and 7 healthy grandchildren keep me active.  I am also aware that regardless of my troubles, I have a community that will support me, a God that covers me, and a roof over my head.

Take time to reassess your position of happiness.  First, what do you base happiness on? Second, how do you measure your happiness.  Feel free to drop me a line.  Iā€™d like to hear how many of my friends and acquaintances are happy, and why?
